A World in 360-degrees!
One example of "mono" is Satsuki's personal camera, which is based on the real-life Ricoh Theta -- a 360-degree "omnidirectional" camera that captures a spherical scene using two ultra wide-angle lenses located on the front and the back. The center of the "sphere" is located at the camera, with the entire scene extending outward -- resulting in a ball-shaped image, which is processed by stitching both front and back images together. However, the spherical image is then "flattened" to a useable rectangular panorama that spans 360-degrees in real time. It captures both still image and video.

A.) By using fish-eye lenses on both sides of the camera, a 360-degree scene is processed in real-time. Note the position of Satsuki's thumb and index fingers relative to the front and rear of the camera. B.) The combined image from both lenses are stitched and converted into a rectangular scene. Satsuki likely cropped her image to show the side mostly facing her and An.
